Moving to Florida may not be an escape from the United States, but if you live in a colder climate, you can escape from the rest of the “snowbirds” and lie on warm sandy beaches. There are also golf courses, shopping, and more. Your kids might enjoy going to Disney World or Universal Studios during your holidays gets you out of reality, at least for the short term.
You and your kids can walk through Hogsmeade just like Harry Potter and his friends did at Christmas. Or, they can visit the vacations at Walt Disney World Resort. This starts in November and continues until the new year. Keep remembering that these parks will charge a higher fee near Thanksgiving and Christmas. Try to plan your trip accordingly. If you do not want to get an expensive deal, consider waiting until the end of winter.
