12. Walls of Shiplap
When they are first completed, most basements have cement walls, and drywall is added to create the appearance of walking into a shared space. This is all right, but you might apply shiplap to the walls if you want to elevate the look a little further. It makes you feel like you’re in the countryside inside a cozy seaside cottage or farmhouse.
