32. Overgrown trees
As you examine houses, watch out for overgrown trees that climb up the walls. A home covered with ivy may be beautiful, but it may be hiding something terrible underneath. Remember that ivy only grows when it can “climb” over cracks in bricks or mortar. This could be a sign that these cracks need repairing and that it may cause waterlines to occur.
There’s even a chance that the house is hiding poison sumac and poison ivy on the East Coast of the United States. This can trigger an itchy, red rash all over the body, and you’ll need to hire a professional to get rid of the weed.
