Natalie Portman – Black Swan
During the filming of Black Swan, Natalie Portman dislocated a rib, but there was no doctor on-site. When assistance arrived, she was not allowed to take a break to recover.
Director Darren Aronofsky urged Natalie to continue the scene despite her pain, insisting she stays in character. In the scene with a physical therapist, she is seen in genuine agony.
