This very prestigious acting award honors stars who have left an impact on the industry. Dunaway’s breakthrough role was in The Happening, but what gained her worldwide attention was her performance in Bonnie and Clyde. At the time, however, the film was considered controversial as critics stated it “glorified murders.” Today, the film is recognized as a Hollywood classic.
