Jennifer Beals
Jennifer Beals shot to fame after her infamous performance in Flashdance, which ended up being the highest-grossing film in North America in 1983. Beals took on the fairly difficult role of Alex, who was a welder by day and an adult dancer by night; she was still undergoing her degree at Yale when she was offered the role. What many fans may not know is that Beals did not actually perform the dances by Alex, whom we all loved – it was a stunt double, Marine Jahan. After her massive kickstart, Beals returned to her studies.
