Joanna Lumley
Joanna Lumley’s origin and strong British accent allowed her to take on a small range of roles, specifically the most sophisticated ones the industry had to offer. Lumley’s breakthrough role was in The New Avengers back in 1979, where she played Purdey. Some of her other notable performances include the show Sapphire & Steel and Doctor Who. Despite all of these performances, Lumley’s most memorable role is perhaps from Absolutely Fabulous.
