Lynda Carter
Lynda Carter made her name playing Wonder Woman when the female superhero was given her TV show in the 1970s. Before she was known for her superhuman abilities, Carter was a pageant queen who had been crowned Miss World during the 1972 competition. The show ran for four years before going off the air, but Carter is still most frequently associated with the role. Carter stepped away from the spotlight in the 1990s but did open up publicly in 2008 about seeking treatment for alcoholism.
