Bundling Beds for Intimacy
In Amish traditions, the concept of sleeping with another person may not carry the same intimate connotations as it does in the outside world. Instead, they employ a unique arrangement known as a bundling bed, enabling two individuals to share a bed without the risk of physical contact between them.
Within this practice, each person has their distinct set of blankets, and in many instances, they are separated by a wooden board. This ingenious tradition not only conserves space but also facilitates the sharing of beds without infringing upon the Amish values of premarital intimacy.
