19. A Dog and a Duck

Ducklings exhibit a fascinating behavior known as imprinting, where they attach themselves to the first moving object they encounter after hatching, especially if it makes duck sounds. However, sometimes, mere movement is enough to trigger this instinct.

In this case, it’s helpful to imagine that the duckling imprinted on the dog now views the canine as its mother. The dog appears to be fully embracing its newfound role as a caregiver, adding to the preciousness of their relationship.
