The actress, comedian, and talk show host dedicated years to cultivating a brand centered around kindness. In fact, her show’s very slogan urged viewers to “Be kind to one another.” However, it appears that behind the scenes, the reality was far from kind.
In 2020, numerous former employees courageously stepped forward, alleging that the work environment on the show was toxic. Ellen DeGeneres and senior producers were further accused of engaging in acts of racism and harassment.
