As avid followers of the hit series Desperate Housewives, we tended to perceive actress Felicity Huffman as reminiscent of her on-screen persona, Lynette Scavo. We could easily envision her as a devoted mother and wife, as well as an ambitious and self-reliant individual. Moreover, Huffman’s accolades in the entertainment industry further cemented her status as someone worthy of admiration.
However, our perceptions were shattered when, in 2019, Felicity Huffman became entangled in the Operation Varsity Blues scandal. Essentially, she was implicated in paying bribes to manipulate SAT scores and secure her children’s admission into prestigious universities. As a consequence, she was sentenced to a brief two-week imprisonment.
