32. Plant Tender Bulbs
You should plant some intensely soft bulbous flowers like Canna Lily in the summer instead of spring. In northern climates, like USDA zones 4 and up, you should also plant other summer bulbs like Dahlias and Gladiolus in early summer as is best due to the threat of late frost.
You just need to plant them as fall or spring bulbs, but water more than usual due to reduced risk of rot and hotter conditions. Besides, the note when planting summer bulbs is to position them carefully. There are bulbs you need to dig up again to avoid overwintering, so don’t forget them!
