As Sally Kellerman’s career continued to flourish after her Star Trek role, she found herself in diverse and successful projects. One of her most notable roles was portraying Major Margeret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in the M*A*S*H movie, a performance that earned her an Oscar nomination. Her talent extended to other ventures, including appearances in the IFC comedy show “Maron” and the Rodney Dangerfield comedy “Back to School.”
With a career spanning over fifty years, Kellerman became a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. In her personal life, she married film producer Jonathan D. Krane in 1980, although she faced the loss of her husband in 2016. Tragically, after adopting two children, one of them passed away at the age of 27, marking a sad chapter in her life journey.
