There are a lot of nice things you can do with leftover wood chips, rather than just letting them go rot. This next idea is beautiful for a bedroom. Attach a beam of wood to your ceiling and then hang curtains from it.
It is not the opposite of your window. You can even do this around your bed and hang lovely curtains to create a sophisticated country style. You can also do this like a headboard in the living room to give the room something more aesthetically designed.
