8. Dining Room
Elvis’ dining area is undoubtedly one of Graceland’s most popular destinations. The black marble flooring of the room is surrounded by luxurious white carpeting. An elegant Italian glass chandelier hangs over the enormous dining room table.
When dining with family and friends, Elvis Presley usually sat at the head of the table. Extensive meals with more than 10 or 12 guests were commonplace. Elvis’ entourage, dubbed the Memphis Mafia, would invite them over for late-night dinners at 10 p.m., where his cooks would prepare enormous dinners of excellent southern cooking, Elvis’ favorite. At his vast dining room table, he also enjoyed staging poker sessions.
