18. Sleepless in Seattle
Sleepless in Seattle is a film about a boy named Jonah Baldwin calling a radio station in Seattle to find his widowed father a new wife. Annie Reed from Baltimore heard this message and became completely fascinated by the man she heard on the radio. So, she decided to fly to Seattle to verify that Jonah’s father, Sam Baldwin, was as good as his son told him. It sounds like a stalker, but Sleepless in Seattle is thought by many to be incredibly romantic, because of the idea that you can love someone you’ve never met.
And if Netflix Love is Blind is any indicator, people still love stories to this day. In the film, Sam lives with his son Jonah in a small house by the lake – a real living place called Lake Union, Seattle. It can be classified as a houseboat because it floats on water. In the movie, we get the impression that Sam has to shrink to a more modest house, now he’s a bachelor again. Usually, home boats are more affordable than on land. However, because this place is located in such a beautiful area, it is costly. Real-life homes sold for $ 2.5 million in 2008, probably out of reach for your single dad.
