Garlic
Garlic, like other crops, is vulnerable to the widespread use of pesticides by Chinese farmers. Compounding the issue is the fact that China lacks effective regulations to monitor or curtail pesticide usage. In the absence of regulatory oversight, Chinese farmers have the freedom to employ pesticides liberally without constraints.
Garlic, in particular, presents a unique challenge due to its high absorbency. This quality means that garlic readily absorbs its surroundings, making it a magnet for the various harmful chemicals present in its vicinity. Consequently, when consumed, this garlic introduces these chemicals into the body, leading to potential side effects that are often challenging to diagnose.
