2x4s can quickly build a durable clothing rack of any size when paired with a simple wooden dowel or PVC pipe. 2x4s are a cheap and efficient way to develop long-lasting storage objects such as clothes racks, whether for storing heavy winter coats in a garage or attic or building a small frame for children’s play costumes. If kept out of sight or painted or stained to make a more desirable storage item, they may be left untreated.
