Brilliant vs. Gorgeous
This restroom sign attempts to break away from traditional descriptions, but it falls short. While it uses “brilliant” for males and “gorgeous” for females, it still relies on stereotyping.
Describing girls solely based on their appearance and males solely based on their intelligence perpetuates negative gender stereotypes. It’s important to acknowledge that both genders can possess both qualities, and this design fails to do so.
