Worse than rude
Unfortunately, statistics show that women still bear the brunt of household chores in many households, reinforcing the outdated belief that a woman’s primary role is housekeeping. Despite societal changes, some still consider housework exclusively a woman’s responsibility.
There could have been a more respectful way to convey the same message without being sexist. The phrase “your mother doesn’t work here!” is disrespectful and fails to acknowledge that maintaining cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility, not just a mother’s duty.
