Burt Bacharach, one of the most celebrated composers in Pop Music history, passed away peacefully at 94 from natural causes at his home in Los Angeles. He was renowned for composing iconic songs like “I Say A Little Prayer,” “Walk On By,” and “What The World Needs Now Is Love.”
Bacharach was known for his soaring melodies and lush orchestral arrangements. His extraordinary talent led to 73 Top 40 hits in the U.S. and 52 in the U.K. Throughout his illustrious career, he collaborated with legendary artists such as Dionne Warwick, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Barbara Streisand, Tom Jones, Aretha Franklin, and Elvis Costello.
