Lee Sun-Kyun: 48 Years Old
Renowned South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun, celebrated for his roles in Bong Joon Ho’s Oscar-winning film “Parasite” and the Apple TV+ series “Dr. Brain,” tragically passed away at the age of 48 in what appears to be a suicide. He was discovered lifeless inside a car at a park in Seoul, with a reported suicide note left behind.
Local media reports suggested that Lee was under investigation for alleged illegal drug use amidst intensified efforts by the South Korean government to combat illicit drugs. Lee underwent multiple rounds of police questioning, focusing on his connection to marijuana and psychoactive drugs. He is survived by his wife, actress Jeon Hye-jin, and their two sons.
