Robert Blake: 89 Years Old
Robert Blake, the American actor known for his roles in the “Our Gang” shorts (later known as “The Little Rascals”), the 1967 film adaptation of Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood,” and A.B.C.’s 1970s cop show “Baretta,” passed away at the age of 89. He died from heart disease at his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by his family.
Both success and controversy marked Blake’s career, and he was linked to headlines surrounding the death of his second wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, in 2001. Although he was acquitted in the murder case in 2005, he was later found liable for Bakley’s death in a civil suit filed by her children.
