39. Cactus
Although these houseplants belong to the conifer family, cactus are still an excellent air purifier and have a unique ability to remove certain types of radiation from the indoor environment. Like with succulents or philodendron, there is a cactus for everyone. Giant, broad pad cacti like Prickly Pear are beautiful centers, while some small cacti have pretty bizarre flowers. Cacti require bright, even direct, light watering and very infrequently.
