No Basic Decency

Dealing with the loss of a family member is an emotionally challenging experience, and employees should ideally receive understanding and support from their employers during such times. However, in this case, the manager exhibited a complete lack of empathy, even expecting the employee to return immediately after attending a family funeral.

This treatment is even more appalling because the employee had never taken a day off before, underscoring the inconsiderate nature of the manager’s actions. The company’s policy appears to prioritize pushing employees to work at inappropriate moments, disregarding basic decency and empathy.
