When conflicts arise, addressing them privately through one-on-one conversations is often a more constructive approach, particularly for minor complaints. Publicly chastising someone is rarely an effective way to get them to comply with requests.

Even more concerning is that the reprimand was not delivered discreetly but directly in front of a group of students, which is entirely inappropriate behavior. Given this situation, it’s understandable why the person resigned in response to such unprofessional conduct.
