35. Magnetic Car Storage
Anyone with children probably knows how easily things can get messy in their bedroom or play area. Without understanding it’s a problem, children appear to throw their toys on the floor. And if they like to carry their toys into the living room, it can become a prime place to step on toy cars unintentionally. Instead of washing up after them hand and foot, it’s a good idea to get children used to the process of cleaning up after themselves at an early age. The majority of parents ask their children to place their toys in baskets and boxes. But what about the “parking lot” magnet for cars? For $17 each, Ikea sells magnetic knife holders. It should be easy for hot wheels to stick to the interest, and it helps keep the toys off the floor. From an early age, children will see that they need to put their cars in line, and it can act as a place to play as well.
