30. Create exciting illusions

In most cases, lights will bend when they pass through water, making whichever object you are looking at becoming distorted. With this effect, you can create amazing images! You will need multiple containers or vases for this photoshoot, a flashgun, a tripod, or a stable surface for your camera, and a pattern for your context. Different refractive results, vary the water levels in your containers, and place your subject (or yourself) behind them.

You can use the right sort of prism or glass without using water. Make sure you have a clear, polished counter that can refract light and a transparent prism. In order to refract the light and be called a prism, at least one of its surfaces must be bent, but it shouldn’t matter much in terms of photography purposes! Let your creativity run wild and test out many types of illusion to find out what you like most.
