James and Annie Mae Had Seven Children

The Richardsons were a family with a history of loss, as some of their children had tragically passed away in infancy. In contrast, others had battled serious illnesses during their early years. When the family settled in Arcadia, they were left with a total of seven surviving Richardson children: Betty (eight years old), Alice (seven years old), Susie (six years old), Dorreen (five years old), Vanessa (four years old), Dianne (three years old), and James Jr. (two years old).

Betty, Alice, Susie, and Dorreen were at the age where they attended school, while Vanessa, Dianne, and James Jr. were still too young to join them and remained at home. Little did the family know that over two fateful Fall days in 1967, all seven of their precious children would face a tragic and untimely end.
