18. Create a suitable space to live
Sometimes the interior design can be too “perfect” because people want to decorate their living room to look like a museum. If you’re afraid of touching anything in space, can you call it life? Joanna Gaines recommends creating areas that are truly meaningful to live and enjoy. Finally, you design a house where you can go at the end of the day, play with your kids and relax. Nothing is too precious to touch, or expensive to replace.
When you choose furniture, try to choose the fabric that you know can be more comfortable if there are spills. And if you have children, try to anticipate that something might go wrong. For example, if you have young children, it’s probably not good to have white carpets and furniture with glass-top tables all over the house. It was just a disaster. When your circumstances change, you can always have better things later in life.
