Approximately five years after the birth of Rocco, Madonna and Ritchie decided to expand their family through adoption further.
During Madonna’s visit to Malawi, where she had established the organization Raising Malawi, the couple adopted David Banda. Reflecting on her son in an interview with British Vogue, Madonna expressed a deep connection, stating, “He’s the one I relate to the most. I feel he understands me; he shares more of my DNA than my other children.”
