In 2013, Forbes magazine ranked Marilyn Monroe as the sixth highest-earning deceased celebrity, joining the ranks of iconic figures such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Charles M. Schulz, Elizabeth Taylor, and Bob Marley.
Notably, in October of that same year, Marilyn was named the new face of Chanel No. 5, an honor many believe should have come much earlier, considering she had been a voluntary promoter of their perfume during her prime. One of her most famous quotes was in response to the question, “What do you wear to bed?” She replied, “My Chanel No. 5.”
