Middle school is a time of awkward crushes and misguided attempts at impressing others. One Reddit user shared a cringe-worthy memory of trying to impress a classmate they liked. Their grand idea? Writing a song, performing it… and then slipping the lyrics into the crush’s locker. Yikes.
Predictably, the plan didn’t work. Instead of falling in love, the crush told their friends, who told everyone else. It turned into a full-on joke at the user’s expense. While it’s incredibly embarrassing to remember, there’s a certain charm in trying that hard. We’ve all been there—doing way too much for someone who barely noticed. A+ for effort, though.
