4. Signed Books
We’ve already discussed how people want to purchase their favorite authors’ vintage first edition books. However, a book doesn’t always have to be vintage. If you have a book autographed by a well-known author, someday it could just be worth a lot of money. It is possible to sell signed magazines, too. One Playboy issue, which Hugh Hefner signed, sold for $57,000.
Remember, if you can show that the author signed it, an autograph is worth more, and it isn’t just a forgery. So if you were in line at a book signing, make sure you get someone with the author to take your picture. It could serve as one of the most valuable antique items!
