It may come as a surprise, but the terrifying creature depicted in one of the scariest scenes from Finding Nemo does exist in reality. The anglerfish is undeniably one of the most peculiar-looking creatures on Earth. Fortunately, encountering them while swimming is highly unlikely.
This species exclusively inhabits the ocean floor or resides near it. The frightening appearance of the anglerfish is a result of its evolutionary adaptation of possessing a bioluminescent light, which it uses to attract and catch prey.
