The initial surf shacks were not alone since Australia’s warm climates were supposed to rest on the beaches. It can even get cold at night, even in the colder months. These tiny houses require wood-burning stoves without a proper HVAC system or a chimney to keep them cozy and toasty. If that’s what you’re looking for, those wood stoves, such as the vintage Malm fireplaces, will join in with the vintage 1960s vibes.
Or, for a couple of hundred bucks, anywhere like Home Depot or Lowes, you might find a black wood-burning fireplace. If you don’t like the idea of cutting wood and cleaning up ashes, they also make fake wood-burning stoves.
