27. Whitewall and ship deck
Most beach huts have no insulation because Australia is warm year-round. But no one likes to live inside a brown wooden box. As a result, all the panels are painted white or pastel in color, echoing the traditions handed down in British culture. Even if you live in a typical house, you can still achieve the ship look with white wooden walls. Depending on your space’s size, this can be an expensive undertaking. Some people have chosen to make a prominent wall out of burlap, while the rest of their house is the usual plaster wall.
If you cannot afford to install a boat indoors, you can glue drywall and paint the white or pale cream wall. Brighter colors will help a room feel warm and sunny, even on overcast days. And dark colors do the exact opposite. They make you feel unclear, cozy, and cozy.
