Sharing may seem like an act of kindness, but it can often be a source of discomfort, especially when it comes to sharing a room. In addition to losing one’s own personal space and privacy, one must also tolerate the idiosyncrasies of the other person. This was the case for a 6-year-old who was unhappy when his mother told him he had to share his room.
When the child protested, his mother pointed out that it could be much worse; Harry Potter had to sleep in a cupboard under the stairs. However, the child’s response was that he would rather sleep alone in a cupboard. And honestly, we can’t blame him.
