For those of us who struggle with drawing and painting, it can be beneficial to have a step-by-step guide. One such guide suggests that drawing a rose is easy – all you need to do is draw lettuce and then paint it red. However, as one commenter pointed out, how does one draw lettuce in the first place?
The answer is simple – you draw a rose first and then paint it green. While this response may seem clever, it’s not particularly helpful. It’s akin to saying that the best way to draw a horse is to first draw a unicorn and then erase the horn. Despite the initial appeal of the suggestion, it ultimately falls short of providing useful guidance. Nevertheless, it’s always worthwhile to experiment and try new techniques when it comes to art. Who knows, maybe the lettuce-rose technique will work for some people!
