As more and more people embrace their roles as plant parents, a fascinating perspective has emerged. While we typically think of plants as something we care for and tend to, providing water and nurturing them to keep them alive, we often forget that plants are also “farming us” in a way. Through the process of photosynthesis, plants provide us with the oxygen we need to survive, keeping us alive and healthy.
However, when we eventually pass away and decompose, those same plants will consume our remains, completing the circle of life in a somewhat grim and unsettling way. While this realization may seem bleak, it highlights the intricate and interconnected nature of life on our planet, reminding us of the importance of caring for and respecting all living things. The playful wordplay at the end of the post also demonstrates the power of humor to address serious topics in a lighthearted and relatable way, allowing us to process difficult realities with a touch of levity.
