#63: Surviving the Worst, Lost to the Absurd

We all hope that when our time comes, it’s peaceful, painless, and preferably in old age. The idea of surviving something incredibly dangerous only to later die in a bizarre, almost comedic way feels like cruel cosmic irony.

Stories like this one — where someone lives through a major disaster or war, then passes away in a random accident — make you question the whole “everything happens for a reason” idea. Sometimes life just… happens, and it doesn’t always line up with our sense of logic or fairness.
