#69: A Scratch-Off Argument Gone Right
If you’ve ever rolled your eyes at someone spending too much money on lottery tickets, you’ll relate to this one. A wife tried to prove to her husband that scratch-off cards were a waste of time and money… and bought one to show him how pointless they were.
Then she won the jackpot.

As far as losing an argument goes, this is probably the best possible outcome. The odds of winning big on a scratch ticket are slim, so her skepticism was totally reasonable. But sometimes the universe has a sense of humor.
