Women often feel like they’re playing catch-up in a world built to favor men — in pay, opportunity, and recognition. But here’s one statistic where women come out ahead: men are significantly more likely to be struck by lightning than women.

It’s not that lightning “prefers” men biologically; it’s more about behavior. Men are more likely to be outdoors in risky conditions or ignore safety warnings. So while this is hardly a victory to celebrate, it’s one rare moment where women aren’t stuck with the worst odds.
