Jessica Alba in “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”
Though Jessica Alba has made her name in fast-paced action movies such as the Fantastic Four franchise, she has spoken publicly about her frustration with the lack of emotional depth behind these roles.
In an interview with Elle magazine, she said: “The director was like, ‘It looks too real. It looks too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica.’… And then it all got me thinking … ‘Am I not allowed to be a person in my work?’ And so I just said … I don’t care about this business anymore.'”
