The revelation that Dakota Johnson had mixed feelings about her role in a fan-fiction movie with dubious sexual power dynamics likely didn’t shock many, given the controversial nature of “50 Shades of Grey.” It’s understandable why such a part might be considered a regrettable choice.
“It comes in waves,” she revealed to Glamour magazine. “It’s one thing if a film has one sex scene in it, but with this, a large part of the premise is the arc of their sexual relationship … It has put my life on a path that I didn’t plan to go down.”
