Kelly Clarkson in “From Justin to Kelly”
After Kelly Clarkson scooped the top spot in the first-ever season of American Idol in 2002 as the winner, she gained a contract to do two things—release an album and star in a movie.
However, the soulful songstress later revealed that she hated starring in the film From Justin to Kelly alongside fellow idol star Justin Guarini, which is widely regarded as one of the worst films of all time. “I cried,” she admitted to the LA Times. She said: “I talked to many lawyers and could not get out of the movie … I just didn’t believe in it … It was a very miserable time of my life.”
