25. Arrive Early
The early bird gets the worm, as the saying goes. This is also true while looking for a good bargain at a secondhand store. You’re more likely to find a great deal if you arrive early in the morning when the business first opens. After a few hours, most of the nice things have been snatched up. The deal is still going on, but you might not have gotten the items you wanted if you arrived earlier. Just keep in mind that on Goodwill’s 50% off day, people will queue up an hour before time to get to the excellent items first.
If I’m honest, arriving early at the thrift store can feel a little chaotic. So, if you’re nervous among large groups of people who don’t appear to mind the social distance, you might wish to avoid these busy times. If you’ve had the vaccine, you might be ready to throw caution to the wind and take advantage of the other early birds. However, if you are easily agitated, arrive later in the day.
