25. Arrive Early

24. Inquire about the store’s shipping schedule.

The day of the week you visit a thrift store has a lot to do with finding good bargains. Tuesday is the worst day to see if the store receives a delivery truck of new things every Wednesday. Every Tuesday, they’re out of almost everything in the store. As a result, you’ll only come across rejected items and clothing that has previously been picked over. However, if you give them a day to replenish and walk there on a Thursday morning, you’ll almost certainly locate the best items. However, unless you ask someone who works there, you will never know this information.

Some businesses will refill particular categories of merchandise on different days of the week. Perhaps they have employees working in the back seven days a week processing donations. They put out clothes on Monday, housewares on Tuesday, and so on. Unless you inquire, you will never know their schedule. Show up on the days when you’ll be able to find the most recent stuff in your chosen category.
