Focus on Active Listening

Active listening is one of the most important skills you can develop in any relationship, whether personal or professional. It involves truly paying attention to what the other person is saying rather than just waiting for your turn to speak.

A great way to show that you’re actively listening is to repeat back something the other person said. For example, you might say, “So you’re saying that…” followed by a summary of their point. This shows that you’re engaged and value what they have to say.
